How I Write Songs

Hey guys, today I'm not going to write a song. Instead I'm going to talk about how I write them. Most of the songs I write are based around books. Any type of book works for me, even if I'm only halfway through one, it still gives me a ton
of inspiration. I'm not saying this
will work for everybody, but it's a start.

One of the biggest reasons I write songs based on people that are in books, is because they always have a problem going on in their lives that they need to figure out. With me I'm usually pretty happy and when I'm not, I'm probably sleeping. I have a great family with not too many problems. So I don't really have anything to write about that has to do with me.

With books I can read through a year worth of someone's experiences in a few days. Everyone knows that in just about every book there's a problem and a solution. So what I do is pretty much just summarize the whole book into a song.
