A beautiful view

Where could she go now?

The thought had briefly run through her head many times, but only now did she really stop to think. She got to the top of the hill and sat down.

The sun was just rising, and the sky was a pale yellow, accented by the lilac clouds. To her right, the foothills were still black with shadow, and they stretched as far as she could see. To her left was the shallow valley, covered in thick fog that slowly crept towards the foothills. She was quite high up you see, so almost nothing was hidden from her gaze. The colors and shapes all mixed together quite perfectly from her angle.

What a beautiful view, she thought to herself, for even if she yelled it out, no one would hear her anyways. Although her past experiences in the valley could prove that it was not such a beautiful place, she knew how to find things that could prove otherwise.

She just had to keep looking.

This is so beautiful! I love the quote “Accented by the Lilac clouds.” That was my favorite part. Keep it up! My suggestion to you is to write poems to really exploit the depth of this type of writing.
