The Same Direction

To me, life is like a flock of geese. You folllow one person or maybe your group of friends, and you all go in the same direction.

But you don't have to.

I'm not a popular person, I have never been really. When I was four my best friend was Lily Rhodes. We were the best of friends. It was when I was six that we lost our friendship. We were fighting over how we only did things that she wanted to do and never what I wanted. She thought I was just over reacting and maybe I was. If I had known I would lose my best friend I would have never had that stupid argument. I miss her very much. We did play what she wanted but I always had loved the games she picked.

Now when I see her in the halls at WMS (West Middle School) I think back to that argument. Lily is one of the most popular kids at school, all her friends follow her around like she's the queen bee. One day she came to school wearing a blue and gray jean jacket. By the next day almost everyone in school and the exact same (or something close) jacket she had. Basically she is the most popular trendsetter I know. I could probably try to become friends again, but I would be so odd compared to the rest of her friends. Now the only friend I really have is Nina, don't get me wrong  I love that pig...

It's just it would be nice to have some people friends for a change.

This is actually a third part of a story I'm writing.

I really like this story. What if our school was like that? What if the most popular girl at our school had all of her friends following her. That would suck. I'm glad our school isn't like that.
