Popularity

Popularity is horrible, it has changed so many people. The book I am reading is a lot like school, because at school you see the "popular" kids, then there are the "nerds", then there are the in between kids. People separate other people by looks or actions. This book shows that you cant judge a book by its cover.

Mrs. Spengler: Does this happen at Manitou? Does Manitou have cliques like this too?

Yes, people judge other people at Manitou.

The people at Manitou do not only judge other people by looks and actions, but they also judge by how many sports you play, and what sports you play. People think that people who play multiple sports or look good should be popular. That is not ok, because you should see people for their actions or their personalities. Some people I know are jerks, but guess what!? They are very "popular".

Some people are very nice and are popular, they deserve to be popular. Some people let being popular get to their heads, and become rude and full of themselves.

This is just my opinion, but I feel really strongly about this.

I agree with your post. I feel popularity is unnecessary, why people have to put other people in a box and say "that's where you belong" is awful. I'd like t o hear more of your input of this subject.

I agree with you too. I can see popular kids and non popular kids. This happens at everywhere. Popular kids hang out with popular kids, and they don't hang out with non popular kids. I sit with popular kids but I'm not that popular. I know this by how my friends talk to popular kids and how they talk to me. I really agree with you.
