all to hide her own

 She wore a thousand faces, just to hide her own. The 24 surgeries she went through to make her look better never worked, all they did was add a little more to the mess on her face. At least, that is what people said, as she walked through the halls of a harsh middle school life. 

I have always liked her, she was the light shinning in the darkest times. Never once did I think to call her ''ugly'' or ''gross''. I thought she was beautiful, but it's not like that matters. I am a popular girl, she is not. To be her friend, that's all I wanted. I didn't want to influence her the way I did, but it's too late. The path she took is over. I don't know if I'm the reason she changed the way she did, but I will forever remember her...

 and all the faces she wore.
