Life is like a river

The River

 Life is like a river.

It just keeps on flowing.
You can not slow it down or speed it up.

It goes in its own direction.

No matter how many bumps and rocks there are it keeps going.

People may come in the river, but they will always leave.

One year it may have more water than the next but it will always flow.
It keeps on flowing through the rain and the drought.

It will always be there in years to come.

River

   River

Cold and Bitter
Soft and Flowing
Slow and Fast
Quite and Loud

Mountain

Big and Tall
Never moving
Always There
Growing Bigger

Ocean

Strong and Large
Calm and Pretty
Vast and Wide
Fun and Water

Sky

Huge and Soft
Clouds are Big
Big and Blue
Never Moving, Always Changing

Life is like a River

Life is like a river.
I guess life has its near death experiences and its cold thoughts,
but you should never complain. The only time to complain is when
You soak yourself in freezing river water.

To be safe you need water, unless you don't know how to swim.
Swimming is my fuel, and water is my pool (of course).
Like you could never film without a director or camera.
You cant't play volleyball without a volleyball, and
You definitely can't swim without a body of water and a swim suit.

The sound rushes you when the water splashes as you get in the pool.
The feeling cools you when as you MERGE WITH THE WATER,
but when you are in the water, it can feel almost everlasting.

Don't fight a feeling.

Word of the day

The word of the day is... Kakomtiaphophobia.
The meaning of this word is (Noun )
Fear of failure. just trying to spell this word scares me. Try to imagine you are at a spelling bee and you have to spell this word  and you get it wrong ๐Ÿ˜‘. You would feel terrible and force yourself to learn it. But hold on, take a deep breath. I am a kakomtiaphophobic, because as I am writing this, I am thinking, "Have I ever not had a fear of failure?"

I will probably find out sooner or later.

Life is like a River

Leaves , they float rapidly, they fly with the air
Leaves do not go strait into the water
They have a little breeze with them
Water, it makes a soothing sound when going down stream
Water makes bumps when rocks are in the river or stream
Rocks fly through the air and make a "plump" sound in the water
Little Rocks make a "Tulp" sound in the water
The sun doesn't make noise or sound, it makes light
When clouds do not block it, it makes a warming touch

Life SITS like a river

I sit in the river
Cold and peaceful
I say my goodbyes
As the water passes by

I look at the ripples and picture an image of life
Life is like a river
Delicate and gracious
But there are rocks and ripples in our way

Today I sat in the river.

Life is Like a River...

OMG you guys were freakin' hee-lair-ee-ous yesterday!

Thanks for coming along for the ride.

They used to say that teachers had
"eyes in the backs of their heads"
which meant they always knew
what their kids were up to
even when their backs were turned.

Me?
I got the selfie.
I see you!
bwahaha!!!

The Rough Day

Part one : << click on that link if you would like to read part one.  This is Part Two.

Today, I had a really rough day. I needed someone to talk to, so after school I went to my grandfather's farm so I could talk to Nina.  I told her everything. You probably don't think I had a bad day but I did.

It all started in first period when Jonny stole my pencil so I couldn't write my notes. Then in second period I had to go to the bathroom really bad, but Ms. Boots didnt let me go. In third period I got detention for talking when I wasn't supposed to even though the guy across from me was the one talking. The end of the day was the worst part, I had gym and I forgot to bring sneakers to school and I had to run a mile in flip flops.

Nina just sat there listening, and I could tell that she was actually listening from the way she looked at me. She looked sorry. It made me happy just sitting in silence looking at each other.

She always made me happy, even in the darkest of times.

Living in a Dream

You are young,
And you do not understand.
How do you stay so naive?
I wish I could learn to be like you,
I wish I could live in your dream.
You do not understand that the world's not a fairytale.
But it breaks my heart that I'd have to tell.
I wish my eyes could gleam like yours,
Like yours when they look to the stars.
I wish I could learn to be like you,
But the world is not a dream.

Quotes

Hi this is Alison West, this is my first real post. I am going to write a quote about writing.

Write until it becomes as natural as breathing
Write until not writing makes you anxious

Thank you hope you like it!!

Treat me

Hey today I have quote here you go enjoy
Treat me like queen and I'll treat you like a king
Treat me like a game and I'll show you how it's played

About me

I'm going to tell you just a little bit more about me! I am 24, my favorite food is ice cream, I live in a mansion, and I hate mud! Anyway I really hope you love my writing! My weakness is grammar! Oh how I hate grammar. So please help me out if you could when I say something in the wrong way, it would be very helpful! My favorite things to write about are things that are going on in my life (which I hope you enjoy!)

If you have any suggestions of which I should write about please leave something in the comments! I really hope we all have fun this year and enjoy the best teacher ever!

Questions of Life

I could never understand the situations that goes in life.
Things I can't understand also, why there is life?
There couldn't be more than an understand of the existence.
Anything you can say or think, but why is to be?
Why is there the existence of bullying or harassment?
Can time just stop?
I think you just read a lot of information, so I won't keep you waiting.
This is my final words thanks for viewing this post.
I hope you like poetry, thank you and good bye.

Ducks!

Life is like a river that never ends. But in that river there are new things like what I am looking at now -- ducks!  I have never ever heard a duck quack or see them fly, and I heard and saw them fly and as I was listening I quacked too like was a duck! It was so fun!๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜„

Quote of the day

I think I will post a quote that I enjoy everyday, or every other day. So here we go first ever quote of the day!

There is pleasure in the path-less woods.
                                                                -Lord Byron

A life quote

"Life is to short to worry about things, so go outside and explore the world"-unknown
That quote always made me realize forget the haters and do what you love because the meaning of life is to give life a meaning that's why we are even here. So I want to spend my life doing good things and trying to be happy as long as I can. Because that's the meaning of life.

Please (Song)

Hey it's me Alissa Mist again. I wrote yet another song that I wanted to show you guys. Let me know what you think, and if you have any song suggestions I would love to hear them. Also like I said last time sadly I can't show you guys the melody. So again you are just going to have to use your imagination to figure out how the words when put together, make a song.

Please just Stay,
stay here and hold my hand.
Till the sun comes up for air,
and the moon swims down to capture every star.
Please just Sing,
stay here and sing me that old song.
Where the girl she falls in love,
but the boy he's waited way to long.
Please just Hold me,
stay and hold me so tight.
Tell me you'll love me forever and that you'll always remember.
Oh and please just stay, stay for a minute, stay for a second, stay till the end of time.
Please just stay, stay with me until I lose my mind.
'Cause you deserve every star in the sky.
You deserve every flower that's been found.
You deserve every heart that's not been broken.
So stay, stay and don't let me go.
'Cause I'm scared if you do
I'll be forced to wake up.
I'll be forced just to do it on my own.
I'll be forced just to find my own way home.
So don't, don't leave me alone.
Please don't leave me alone.
Why did you leave me alone.
Why did you leave me alone.
See I was scared when I should have been brave,
I let you play with my heart till it couldn't be saved.
You stole it right out of my hand,
and I didn't fight back.
No I couldn't say no to that.
So why why did you steal my heart,
why'd you leave me in the dark to fight for myself.
'Cause I cant do this alone.
I can't do this alone.
Can't find my way back home.
But I have to do it on my own.
Guess I'll go and do it one my own.
Have to go and do it on my own.
Why not go and do it on my own.
So I'll go and do it on my own.
'Cause I've groan even stronger than the rising sun,
and I have groan even stronger than the moon.
So watch me go and hold my own hand,
Watch me go sing my own songs.
Watch me go and march up this old stairwell were my heart lies
'Cause I'm gonna take it back.
Watch me take it all back.

I finely finished a song I hope you guys like it, and please leave me suggestions for any other songs you would like me to right about.

MLK Inspiring Quote

This is a quote that really inspired me, hopefully it inspires you too!!!

"If you can't fly, then run,

if you can't run, then walk,

if you can't walk, then crawl,

but whatever you do,

you have to keep moving forward."

            - Martin Luther King Jr.

Outside

Sitting outside is like being in the middle of a jungle -- there are so many things happening. Bugs flying around, ants building, or plants just simply waving in the wind. People need to start just simply going outside, sitting down, and watching the world around them. Watching the world continue while you sit there and listen or watch.

Go outside and sit.

It is an amazing feeling just sitting outside and hearing nothing but nature.

Flag waving tournament!

I just finished with my flag waving tournament and we took 4th, go team! Although we could've taken 1st, but Molly fell down and broke her arm in the middle of the act so that totally screwed things up. Because of that, she's moved from 2nd to 4th on my best friends list. My mom says I still have to say that she's my best friend still, but she's really not.

Bad, late night poem, that I don't know what to name.

You come back to me,
Time and time again.
I don't care,
You didn't know who I really was.
It didn't matter,
I couldn't love you any more,
after all you were the one who missed me.
But I was wrong,
And maybe I was dead,
But right then I saw an angel,
And as I looked in your eyes I knew.
It had been me the whole time,
It was I who was missing you.

I am staying up writing bad poems instead of getting much needed rest. Take this late night poem, but  do not judge too harshly, for this is what comes out of a confused, sleep deprived mind.

I am here

I am here.
Murmurs turn to whispers.
The farther I walk, the closer I am.
Closer to here
Where is here? It is safe here, here is wherever you make it.
I found here, my own special place.
So I could visit whenever I wanted.
I am here.

I am here.
I wish I could spend every day here.
Stepping into my world, where all my problems disappear.
Like magic.
Here there is magic, you just need to find it.
I could sit here for hours, maybe one day I could melt away.
Then no matter how loud they called my name, they would never find me here.
They wouldn't see me, but I could see them.
They try to find me here, but they just don't understand how to look!
They can't look! I need to show them!
But, then they stopped looking. Would they even notice I was gone?
And that wouldn't matter.
Because I could walk away just as easily.
And that's why I stay here.
Because I am safe here.

I'm writing as if it were a part in a book

My name is Budhi Stone, my name is far from ordinary. I am far from ordinary. Today I went to my grandfather's farm. He has three horses, five cows, one pig, thirteen chickens, and two dogs. My favorite is Nina the pig. When I need to talk to someone or something, I talk to her. She's the best listener.

The Potato Fiasco

Today, I ate a potato. It was no ordinary potato though, for it was filled with raw potato. Shh, don't judge yet, for raw potato is not the inside of an ordinary potato. When I say raw, I mean… well, I don't exactly know.

At first, when biting into the potato, I felt scared. Only because nearly everyone of it's eyes were staring right at me. That should have been hint enough, but I thought nothing of it at the time. I should have known all he wanted was to get lost in my blue eyes.

The moment my tongue touched the sandpaper like vegetable, I fell in love. I literally fell in love! In my head, I was wondering what it would be like to go out with a raw potato. Would I feel completed? I mean my best friend goes out with boys for whatever reason, and she says they make her feel complete. I wonder if it would be hard to tell my parents.

Then, without thinking… NO! I had bitten off the head of my beloved potato. As I did, the rest of his already dead plant cells went from raw to full. As he died in my arms, I kissed him goodbye and vowed to never eat a raw potato agin. Goodbye my enamorata.

Caution, if you are reading this, it means that the raw potato was indeed part of a potato that was raw.

Keep in mind, this is only fiction and I would never eat a raw potato.

"My Life Is A Bowl"

Hello once again I have another poem for you to enjoy

My Life Is A Bowl
My life is a bowl which is mine to brim
With loveliness old and new
So I fill its clay from stem to rim
With you dear heart
With you.

My life is a pool which can only hold
One star and a glimpse of blue
But the blue and the little lamp of gold
Are you dear heart
Are you.

My life is a homing bird that flies
Through the starry dusk and dew
Home to heaven of your true eyes
Home dear heart
To you.

How's everyone doing? My name is Cromac, I love to play golf and tennis, and being outside. Well I am not the biggest writer, but as the year progresses I hope to be very good at it. My best qualities are being nice, and friendly to all. If I could go anywhere I would to Mexico to swim with Whale Sharks.

First post/ "Midsummer"

Hello my name is Luna Novak will post a lot of  poems or my view on any books I've read I will also post pictures I find amusing. Now this is my first post that was just a little Intro. Here is a poem

Midsummer
You loved me for a little who could not love me long
You gave me wings of gladness and let my spirit song

You loved me for an hour but only with your eyes
Your lips I could not capture by storm or by surprise

Your mouth that I remember with a rush of sudden pain
Like one remembers starlight or roses after rain

Out of a world of laughter suddenly I am sad
Day and night it haunts me
The kiss I never had
                                                                     -Sydney King Russell

A little about me!

Hello.
My name is Boeing.
I live in Bativia, Illinois.
I am a flight operations manager for United Airlines.
I am also road and driver operations manger for Van Galder ( BUS LINER ).

What I do for United is manage where flights go, their routes they take from destination to destination, and give gates to planes. So, once you leave the gate I manage everything from the gate to the gate at your destination. And at Van Galder I look at routes for buses to take. I expanded and find new places for Van Galder and I to go, hire drivers, and if there are traffic problem I reroute the bus.

My job is hard but it keeps me busy.

I am married to Melissa De'Comivete. We have two children, Alex and Francine. My parents are Rodger and Mary Dixon.

Thanks for reading,
                             Boeing

Ups and downs

Don't we all have ups and downs! It's amazing how much we expect winning, but never accept losing.

One of the thing I noticed about people and myself is that everything is about being on top. There is always a winner in everyone.

Take a loss as a lesson!

I am a very competitive person, and I always want to win, but one of the thing I have learned is that you can't always win against someone, because there is always going to be someone better than you, at anything.

So the advice I could ever give to someone is that, never not accept failure, learn from it, and try again.

Welcome

Hello!

I'm so glad you're reading this.  If you are, it means that you are a 7th grader in my 3rd block class. Yay!   This is your blog.  You will each be invited to join it, and after that, the world is yours to conquer!  I mean, just take a look at these conquering faces:

A blog is like a newspaper or magazine that has many people who contribute to it by writing articles, poems, essays, or short stories,  thus making it a collaborative work of art.

You are all authors.

I am the publisher, which means all final decisions about what gets published are mine.

As soon as you join, you will be a member of something very special - a group of brand new teenagers (y'all are turning 13 this year, right?) who get to share themselves with the world.

And when you publish here, anyone in the world can read it.

That's a lot of responsibility.  You have to choose your words carefully.  You also have to just, you know, not be afraid to say what you want to say.

The cool thing is -- you get to do this with a pseudonym.

You also have to do it with your absolute best grammar, spelling, and punctuation.  Perfect even.  It's a lot to ask of 12 and 13-year-olds, I know. But here we are, in the digital age, and blogging is one of the coolest tools I know of to get your voice out there. You need to make sure that people want to read it, and that means taking your time to do it right.

So welcome!

I'm glad we're all here.

Let's get the party started, shall we?

Assignment #1:

In the comments write a response to this post.
Whatever you want to say is awesome.

If you'd like to be one of my editors-in-chief for this project, please grab an application from the back counter.  If you like helping others improve their writing, can give honest feedback, and have a pretty good grasp of the rules of the English language, please apply!  I need all the help I can get.  :)
